девчата, ни у кого нет удачных примерчиков? пишу сейчас резюме в американскую фирму, своих мыслей как всега нетути :-) меня интересует в основном вводная часть. Спасибо заранее!

I am writing in regard to the position of a Personal Assistant advertised in Post and Courier.
I believe that my education, work experience and personal strengths and qualities make me a great candidate for this job.
Currently, a student of ECPI College of Technology and looking for a job. My last job was INC Specialist at Macy’s in CA.
I like to take care of my husband and a house. My hobbies are knitting, sewing, crocheting, reading, shopping, gardening, and sports.

1. Расскажи как ты узнала о позиции
2. Кратко обрисуй свои навыки и умения :)
3. Расскажи почему именно ты со своими навыками и умениями подходишь на данную позицию и как фирма выиграет взяв именно тебя

Надо поставить в любой search(типа Google) эти слова"Cover letter form".Дает кучу ссылок .Вот например

Вот красивое letter of application, специальность, конечно, экзотическая, но выражений элегантных много.

I currently work on a freelance basis as a software producer, training consultant and writer; you will see from the enclosed C.V. that my career to date combines considerable experience in these three areas of computing, training and writing.
Computing: I have worked as a programmer and analyst in a commercial data processing environment and am currently designing and producing microcomputer-based educational software.
Training: I have been involved in the fields of communication skills and commercial data processing as trainer, course designer and consultant.
Writing: My experience includes authorship of educational textbooks, commercial training packages, software documentation, software training manuals and programmer training materials.
I have also had a lot of professional contact with Scandinavia: I previously lived and worked in Norway and still travel to Sweden and Norway frequently to give courses in communication skills. I speak fluent Norwegian.
Finally, given my parallel interests in computing and linguistics (my original training was in modern languages) I am extremely interested in working in the field of natural language interfaces.
I hope that sending a C.V. is acceptable: I have to go to Norway for 2 weeks from this Saturday and may not receive an application form in time to complete and return it to you. The names and addresses of two referees are provided with the C.V. I can be available to start work any time after 1 November.

Это называется Cover Letter, а не Letter of Application к тому же

В нем ошибок много грамматических... Глаз режут некоторые выражения, не пишут так в США

:-) и я бы с удовольствием пошла вязать...но работать надо, все утро сочиняла cover letter, чтоб ему ... :-)

Честное слово, не сама сочиняла. Это из одной книжки Oxford University Press, насколько я помню. И термин letter of application оттуда. Насчёт не говорят так в Америке не спорю, не подумала, что это консервативный британский вариант, причём письменный. Не судите строго, а я пойду вязать!
